Specifications and pre-requisites which were a part of AX 2009 and now not in AX 2012

 Server and Client operating system

Server OS:-

 MSD AX 2009 supported Windows Server 2003, however MSD AX 2012 only supports 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2008 and the supported versions are
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition, Web Edition, Data center Edition
Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 2 Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition, Web Edition, Data center Edition
 Client OS:- MSD AX 2009 client can be installed on Windows XP, however MSD AX 2012 requires either Windows 7 or Windows Vista OS (Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7  and Windows Vista are supported ). The supported versions are
Windows 7 Professional Edition, Ultimate Edition, or Enterprise Edition
Windows Vista Business Edition, Ultimate Edition, or Enterprise Edition, with Service Pack 2.


 Enterprise Portal Server and Client

Server :- In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, Enterprise Portal can be installed only on 64-bit server operating systems because the supported versions of Share Point Server can only be installed on 64-bit computers. Hence, following components are not supported with Enterprise Portal:
Windows Share Point Services 3.0
Microsoft Office Share Point Server 2007

Basic Requirement for installing Enterprise Portal Server for AX 2012 are as follows
IIS 7.0 or IIS 7.5
ASP.NET 2.0
Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 –or– Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition (recommended)
SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Management Objects (AMO)
Client:- The following browsers are not supported for Enterprise Portal in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012:
Windows IE  6.0 and 7.0
Mozilla FireFox 2.0 and 3.0
Apple Safari (all versions

EP clients supported are as follows
Internet Explorer 9.0 and 8.0
Mozilla Firefox 3.5
Apple Safari 5.1.2 (To use the Safari browser, Microsoft Dynamics AX hotfix 2686124 must be installed. Enterprise Portal supports Safari only for end user tasks in the portal and does not support Safari for developer or system administrator tasks. )

Database

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, the database server hosts the Dynamics AX 2012 database, the model store database, the SharePoint databases, and the databases used for reporting and analytics. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 does not provide support for  SQL Server 2005
 Oracle Database

Sales order posting Error - Voucher do not balance as per date in axapta 2012

Problem - How to get rid of this error if its coming while doing the sales invoice . "The transactions on voucher V-00001 do not balance as per 4/11/2014. (accounting currency: -1111- reporting currency: -232) " .  Suggestions: 1.Exchange rate setup , number sequence of invoice voucher, currency rounding all are done correctly , but still this error exists 2.Define currency for each account..or go in currency setup and check currency and rounding up rules 3.Check with penny difference in GL 4.Check there is proper conversion exchange rate defined for reporting currencies. 5.
